Battle of Arnhem Bike Tour
During this Battle of Arnhem bike tour, you will learn more about what happened in Arnhem during World War II.
Operation Market Garden (17–25 September 1944) was a failed Allied military operation, planned and largely led by the British, and fought in the Netherlands and Germany during the Second World War. The success of the operation depended on a series of nine bridges, the last one located in the city of Arnhem over the Rhine River. Airborne and ground forces succeeded in liberating the Dutch cities of Eindhoven and Nijmegen, but failed to hold their furthest positions in and around the city of Arnhem, including the bridge over the Rhine.
