The route starts at Arnhem Central Station and takes you through the charming Burgemeesterswijk neighbourhood, the beautiful Sonsbeek Park, past Huis Zypendaal, and towards the historic city centre. Along the way, you will discover several locations connected to Audrey and her family.
But this walking tour is about more than just Audrey Hepburn. You will also learn about the Battle of Arnhem and the impact of the Second World War on the city and its residents. The route takes you past the famous John Frost Bridge and other remarkable locations that tell the story of this important period in Arnhem’s history.
The walk ends at Audrey Hepburn Square (Audrey Hepburnplein), right in the heart of Arnhem. Along the way, you will discover not only famous landmarks but also hidden gems and fascinating stories you might otherwise miss.
