As a military history enthusiast, the Battle of Arnhem was my primary reason for visiting. David did an absolutely fantastic job. His depth of expertise on the battle, the context surrounding it, and the anecdotes from those who fought in it made it a truly memorable experience. He has literally written books on the subject and you can see his passion and knowledge coming through, whether it’s discussing small unit tactics or the personalities involved in the battle. We have just taken a small group (3 people) personalised tour of Arnhem with our guide, David. As an ex-coach driver, I’m used to driving this tour more than a few times. I have to say, this was by far, the best tour I’ve taken on Arnhem. Vrijdag 27-06-25 hebben wij met 7 collega's (Ex-militairen en dienende militairen van de Nederlandse en Belgische Marine) een fantastische Battlefield Tour over de Slag om Arnhem gedaan. Vanaf het eerste moment waren we onder de indruk van de enorme kennis van onze gids, Arnold. Hij vertelde elk detail met zoveel passie en enthousiasme, dat het voelde alsof we zelf even terug in de tijd stapten. De manier van vertellen maakte de geschiedenis niet alleen begrijpelijk, maar ook levendig en meeslepend. We hingen aan zijn lippen bij elk verhaal. We hebben ontzettend genoten van deze indrukwekkende tour en daarnaast veel nieuwe kennis opgedaan over een belangrijk stuk geschiedenis, dat nu nog meer tot leven is gekomen. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die meer wil weten over de Slag om Arnhem. Wij hebben met ons dispuut, 35 jaar na afstuderen in Den Bosch, de perimeter wandeling gedaan. We zijn enthousiast en deskundig begeleid door Thijs.
