Take a guided tour and get to know the Fashiondistrict and Klarendal area.
The Fashion quarter is located in the Arnhem district of Klarendal. The area includes (parts of) the Hommelseweg, Klarendalseweg and Sonsbeeksingel. In these streets there are about sixty small-scale shops and studios with fashion and design. Shops are interspersed with ordinary houses. Klarendal is the Jordaan of the East of the Netherlands: an authentic working-class neighborhood.
The Fashion district was created as part of the neighborhood development of Klarendal, the aim of which was to improve the quality of life. Volkshuisvesting Arnhem bought dozens of buildings,
refurbished it and started renting it out to entrepreneurs in the fashion and design field. In 2006 the first four fashion stores opened.
The Fashion quarter has now existed for more than fifteen years. A place where culture and creativity flourish. It is home to a multitude of creative entrepreneurs – mostly one-person companies – who for the most part design, make and sell their own products. A place where you can find handmade clothing, jewelry, shoes and bags, and (vintage) design for your home. Special products often with a sustainable impact. The Modekwartier is a hotspot where you
you can go for a delicious meal, a cozy drink or stay in the fashion hotel.
Then join one of the Dutch spoken tours during the June Fashion Month, minimum number of participants is 6. The tour takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs € 20.00 per person. The tour starts on the corner at Goed Proeven, Klarendalseweg 536.
Did less than 6 people buy a ticket? Then we will cancel the walk and contact you by email (or telephone if you have left your number). Of course we will then reimburse 100% of your ticket.
