Shopping in Klarendal Arnhem

Klarendal is less well known as a shopping location than city centre of Arnhem. It’s an up and coming neighberhood in Arnhem filled with small shops and hidden gems!
How cool would it be wearing a limited edition affordable fashion item instead of wearing something everybody else has? And how cool would it be giving a present that makes the receiver really happy and wondering where you got it from?
Well, for those things you need to go to Klarendal. 😀

Lost in Wanderland

Let’s start with Lost in Wanderland. To be fair it’s not exactly in Klarendal anymore, but not the city centre either. It’s located at the Hommelsestraat so I count it in! It is a cute shop with all kind of gift items or you can buy them for yourself of course, as they are so nice, think of necklaces, notebooks, small furniture and some clothes. The cool thing is, all the items all have a story.

FrouFrou’s Vintage

On the Sonsbeeksingel you’ll find FrouFrou’s Vintage. There you can light up your home with vintage furniture, clothes and accessories.They sell new items as well. It just has to be special. You can check out their webshop at www.froufrous.nl.

June Interiors

Just a few meters further you can hop into the cute shop of June Interiors. A shop for home decorations, especially for kids. They sell furniture, mosty their own design. Many of these are made of wood and decorated with different colors. You can buy a personalized present or get some great interior ideas. So, when you know someone who is expecting or are you having a baby yourself? Don’t forget to visit this shop!

Okimono T-Shirts

Okimono is located on the corner, just across restaurant Goed Proeven. Okimono is a shop where you can buy T-shirts with a print from one of the 25 designers. The designs will be printed on eco friendly T-shirts. You can choose between a big giraffe, a yellow car, table soccer players and so on. I would suggest you take a look for yourself! Windmill in Klarendal

Walk up the Klarendalseweg and on the left hand side you will see big mill de Kroon (the crown). Originally it was built to grind grain. The mill isn’t active anymore, but nowadays it is a shop where you can buy flower, oats, spices, cake mixes etc. How cool is it to see a mill in the middle of a city! Ckeck teir calender for events in the mill, they have live music often.(www.molendekroon.nl)

Loopvis in Klarendal

Loopvis is a creative publisher with a shop at the Klarendalseweg. They try to work as sustainable as possible, they even make wrapping paper of unused book pages. You can buy cooking or lifestyle books and books for young adults and also sell postcards and notebooks. They work together with many writers and designers and sell books with topics like ‘how to eat biological food affordable’, ‘cooking with leftovers’ or ‘cooking with peanutbutter. Annet Verbeeks’s ‘Net A’

Net A is Annet Verbeek’s shop. She is a fashion designer, who also studied 3D art. She is a stylist for fashion shows and photo shoots. You can buy a ‘Styled for you’ package, which contains items of a shoot for only 20 euro per package. Quite a nice idea! She also sells bags, accessories and more. (www.net-a.nl)
