Lunch hotspot: Stan&Co Arnhem

The inside of a Tunamelt croqueat at Stan&Co Arnhem

When you find yourself at Willemsplein, you can’t miss lunch hotspot Stan&Co. The big green sunblinds and inviting terrace surely will lure you in for at least a cup of coffee. About time to review hotspot Stan&Co!

I’ve been to Stan&Co many times for drinks since they opened in November 2015. This has to do with the fact that my friends love to hang out here, I do too and the bar is the closest one to my home ;), but never was I able to sit down for a nice lunch. Well, Friday ArnhemLife co-worker Miriam and I did! As always the friendly staff welcomed us in and showed us to our table. The personal “reserved” sign on the table made me smile. “Welcome at Stan&Co, enjoy your day”. Thank you! I hope you enjoy your day too Stan&Co!

Massive make-over for Stan&Co

As Miriam and I were chatting away I took a look at the interior. The place really got a massive make-over since the last bar/restaurant “Diehl” was located here. From an empty, boring “Diehl” the place transformed into a warm, cozy and hip hotspot. The diversity of tables and seats makes Stan&Co a comfortable place to hang out. From sitting at a high table, or on one of the couches, you will feel at home whatever you prefer.

What to order?

We started our lunch by ordering a latte macchiato and a cappuccino, and as we took sips from our coffee we inspected the lunch menu. Hmm, this was not going to be an easy task… What to order? Sandwich, croques or soup? I decided to order the “Pulled salmon | NY steak sauce” ( I always seem to end up ordering a salmon sandwich) and Miriam chose the “Tuna melt | tomato| cheddar | chipotle” since it was recommended by our waitress.

Lunch is served!

After some more chatting about the renewed ArnhemLife platform that we launched later that day, lunch was served. Oh boy, it looked so delicious! My pulled salmon was spread out over a nice big slice of soft fresh bread, and the NY steak sauce was a really good addition to the dish. Yum!
Miriam’s croquet Tuna melt made my mouth water. I will definitely need to have lunch at Stan&Co again soon to try it! The cheese was melted to perfection and as she cut into the bread every ingredient stayed at its place. No mess! Miriam did offer me a piece, I think she could tell I was a little jealous, but I didn’t want the salmon taste to go so I politely declined.

So to sum up:

Location is perfect, the staff is friendly, the interior has a WOW effect, and the food is delicious! We highly recommend you to drop by Stan&Co when you are near Arnhem Centre. Make sure to make a reservation when you want to go there for lunch or dinner, the place is very popular so an empty table when you go on-spec might not be available.
