There are a few options available. First on the list is the website www.meetup.com . This website brings people together from all over the world, anywhere in the world. Log in on the website and search for “Arnhem”. You’ll see that there are quite a few groups available you can join.
For example, you can join the “Arthouse Movie Meetup Utrecht, Nijmegen & Arnhem” group, or the “Arnhem International School – social events meetup” group. There is even an “Expat v2.0 meetup” group that has over 600 members!
In February I attended one of their “Drinks” meetup’s, about 30 or so expats met at café Stout for drinks and a chat. Although many of the expats already knew each other from previous events they all were very inviting and welcoming to “new” people attending the meetup. I met people from the US, UK, Spain, France and India who all came here for a job and/or love. After a few hours the group went on to the next venue. Everybody was invited to join, and no one was eft behind.
