Heinde Arnhem: Unlimited Food and Drinks with No Time Limit

Another new all-you-can-eat restaurant in Arnhem? That was my first thought when I came across a post about Heinde on social media. But my interest was immediately piqued. Not only because of the concept, but especially because of the location and the restaurant’s stylish and atmospheric interior.

The area around the Rijnkade is increasingly becoming a lively hotspot for both food and drinks, attracting locals as well as visitors from outside Arnhem. Heinde has also found its place here, at Nieuwstraat 73, right next to Foodhall Arnhem.

A quick look at Heinde’s website revealed that it is actually far from a newcomer. The restaurant is part of a growing chain with more than twenty locations across the Netherlands. Oops, somehow I had completely missed that! So it was definitely time to check out Heinde Arnhem for ourselves.

What Kind of Restaurant Is Heinde?

Heinde is a restaurant where, for a fixed price, you can enjoy unlimited food and drinks throughout the evening. And perhaps the best part of the concept: there is no time limit. So you don’t have to leave your table after an hour and a half or two hours to make room for the next guests.

The concept originally started as Heinde & Ver and was developed within the hospitality group Club Culinair. Heinde has since grown into a nationwide restaurant chain with locations throughout the Netherlands. The idea is simple: order small dishes, share them with your table, and enjoy a relaxed evening of dining together.

Sounds good, right? But how does an evening at Heinde actually work in practice?

A Stylish Restaurant on Nieuwstraat

On a Friday evening, we step inside Heinde Arnhem. The first thing that strikes us is how spacious the restaurant is. And just as noticeable is how many tables are already occupied.

It looks like we’re not the only ones curious about this new restaurant in Arnhem.

That may also have something to do with the reviews on Google. They certainly don’t lie: guests frequently praise the wide variety of dishes, the friendly service, and the stylish interior. We’re curious to see whether Heinde Arnhem lives up to these expectations.

Unlimited Food and Drinks

Our host for the evening is Bram. He is friendly and attentive, regularly checking whether everything is to our liking and making sure our drinks are topped up.

It immediately creates a relaxed atmosphere. At Heinde, there’s no need to keep an eye on the clock. You can stay at your table throughout the evening and take your time trying different dishes.

Drinks are also included in the fixed price, although some drinks come with an additional charge. This makes the concept slightly different from many other all-you-can-eat restaurants.

What Are We Eating at Heinde Arnhem?

Then comes perhaps the hardest part of the evening: deciding what to order!

There are so many different dishes on the menu that we’re not quite sure where to start. Luckily, we remind ourselves that we can simply order again after this round. And then again after that.

Because yes: unlimited really does mean unlimited here.

The first dishes soon arrive at the table, and everything looks delicious. The crispy salmon taco and steak tartare are particular favourites.

During the next few rounds, we continue to make some great choices. We try the beef tataki, goat cheese, eel on toast, and crispy prawns. And of course, I can’t resist ordering the frikandel speciaal, a classic Dutch snack with curry ketchup, mayonnaise and onions. And honestly? It’s delicious too!

What we really like about this concept is that you don’t have to choose one large dish. Instead, you can try lots of different flavours and share them with the people at your table. That makes Heinde a great place to go with friends or family: everyone can order something different and then enjoy tasting everything together.

And Then There’s Dessert…

By now, we’re starting to feel pretty full, but of course we make sure to save some room for dessert.

And once again, there’s plenty to choose from. With around fifteen different desserts on the menu, deciding what to have is another challenge. Options include pastel de nata, spekkoek, apple pie, fresh fruit, and cheesecake.

In the end, I opt for the cheese board. The portion size is just right after an evening of enjoying so many different small dishes.

Is Heinde Arnhem Worth a Visit?

By the end of our evening, we quickly come to the same conclusion: we’ll definitely be back!

We’ve only made a small dent in the extensive selection of around 65 dishes, so there’s still plenty left to discover.

Heinde also seems like a great option for groups. You can order and share different dishes together, and because there’s no time limit, you can take your time and enjoy a relaxed evening.

I already know where our next dinner date with the girls is going to be!

Heinde Arnhem: Our Conclusion

We look back on a wonderful evening at Heinde Arnhem — literally and figuratively!

The restaurant combines a wide selection of small dishes with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. What makes the concept particularly appealing is the fact that you can enjoy unlimited food without a time limit. And with drinks included in the fixed price, the experience is complete.

Thank you for the great service, and welcome to Arnhem, Heinde! We’ll definitely be back soon. And please say hello to Bram from us!
