FINALLY, after 17 years of breaking down and building up the new railway station in Arnhem will be officially opened on November 19th!

For those that travel by bus and train, this will not go unnoticed. There will be loads of activities for the travelers and admirers of the brand new grand hall and Central bus and railway station. To name a few:

November 5th. Like on many railway stations, you can find a and play a white piano in the main waiting hall. To pass the time while waiting, or just enjoy the nice tunes travelers provide.

November 12th: Jasper van Luijk and Jefta Tanate from Generale Oost have a surprise in store for you. This surprise is a dance performance! They created a dance inspired by the dynamic shapes of the new building. The theme is “travel and movement”. The dance performance will take place at 7.30am, 8.30am, noon, 1.00pm, 5.00pm and 6.00pm.

 

November 19th: 6.30pm —> Official opening Arnhem Railway Station!

November 19th: From now on you can store your bike for free at the secure bike stalling! This is for the first 24 hours you use it. There is a non-secure bike stalling option too, this one is always for free ;).

November 19th/21st: Free music festival. Three days of free music to enjoy in between the new Station and the also new Pathé Cinema. Afternoons and evenings are filled with music from Lucas HammingSue the Night and Sven Hammond, you can go see these movies: Cobain: Montage of HeckDe Masters and Bloed, Zweet en Tranen (Dutch film about singer André Hazes) or have a dance at the Boogie Nights. Singer/songwriters Roos van TuilCollin HoeveBowe and Aniek Maren will also give a performance.

November 20th/21st: Join a tour guide and get some info about the new Railway station. You do have to sign up for this at the new VVV (Tourist Information Center) that is based at the railway station.
